New Students

Applicants who signed the privacy statement on their application form and were subsequently accepted to the GTF are excluded from lists of newly accepted students released each month.

Ms. Teresa Bandel-Schott is enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy degree program.  She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Studies from Colorado State University and a Master of Arts from the University of Northern Colorado in Early Childhood Special Education.  Further study was done at the University of Denver in Educational Administration.  She holds a position as an Executive Director.

Ms. Martha Brito will be working toward her Doctor of Philosophy degree with the GTF.  She received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee and a Master of Science in Marriage Family Therapy from Capella University.  She currently serves as a mental health counselor and marriage family therapist.

Rev. Avery Chardor Brown has begun his study for a Ph.D. in Church History.  Rev. Brown received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas Wesleyan University and a Master of Divinity from Drew Theological School.  He also earned a Master of Theology from Duke Divinity School in American Church History.  He currently serves as Presiding Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Rev. Fr. Emeodi Ernest Emeka has entered the Doctor of Ministry degree program.  Rev. Emeka earned a Bachelor of Philosophy and a Bachelor of Sacred Theology from Seat of Wisdom Major Seminary Owerri in Nigeria.  His Masters in Pastoral Theology was received from St. Paul’s University Ottawa.  Rev. Emeka is a Catholic priest and Parochial Administrator.

The Rev. Canon Stephen Danecia Fields is working toward his Doctor of Ministry in Transformational Leadership.  Rev. Fields earned a Diploma in Theological Studies from Codrington College in the West Indies.  His Bachelor of Arts in Theology was earned from the University of the West Indies.  Rev. Fields later received his Master of Sacred Theology degree from the General Theological Seminary in New York.  He holds the position of priest in the Anglican Diocese of Toronto.

Chaplain Tamara Jaffe has entered our Master of Pastoral Counseling degree program.  She has taken courses through the ALEPH Ordination Program.  She now serves as a Chaplain and Bereavement Coordinator.

Rev. Fr. Eluka Akajiaku Pius is studying with the GTF toward his Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Care and Counseling.  Fr. Pius earned both a Bachelor of  Philosophy and a Master of Theology from Saint Joseph Major Seminary in Nigeria.  He received Clinical Pastoral Education certification at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, and at Christus Sphon Memorial Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Ms. Suzanne Reitz has entered the Master of Pastoral Counseling degree program.  She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Syracuse University and her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Rochester.  Her Masters in Community Health Nursing was earned at Boston University, and her certification in Holistic Nursing came from the American Holistic Nurses Association in Topeka, Kansas.  She is currently retired but serves as a Healing Touch volunteer at a hospital and as a volunteer group facilitator.
