On May 2, we welcomed The Rev. Fr. Bernard O’Connor to deliver this year’s Runcie Convocation Lecture in which he discussed papal resignation. Watch a full-length video of his lecture and learn more about this former Vatican official and expert on papal diplomacy by visiting his faculty profile.
The Runcie Convocation Lecture Series was named in honor of the late Lord Robert Runcie, former Archbishop of Canterbury, who was an early supporter of the work of the Graduate Theological Foundation and sent a representative of the Church of England, Bishop John Tinsley, to Indiana in the early 1980’s. Bishop Tinsley later joined the Board of Directors and became a professor at the GTF, a position he held until his death in 1992.
