This summer marks the first time the GTF will hold a special residential institute in Oxford, England. The GTF has been granted this opportunity by the Oxford University Department for Continuing Education. Students are invited to register for the GTF Institute in Oxford by the March 1, 2014 deadline. The GTF Institute will have as its theme, “Liturgy, Spirituality and the Practice of Ministry,” and will include faculty from both the GTF and Oxford. Students will study under Canon Angela Tilby, Diocesan Canon at Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford; The Rev’d Canon Dr. Robin Gibbons, Director of Studies for Theology and Religion in the Oxford University Department for Continuing Education and professor at the GTF; and Dr. John H. Morgan, Karl Mannheim Professor of the History and Philosophy of the Social Sciences at the Graduate Theological Foundation.

Students attending the GTF Institute are encouraged to stay another week to attend the Oxford Theology Summer School immediately following the week of the GTF Institute. The Oxford Theology Summer School will be held from August 17-23, 2014, with a theme of “Theology and Public Life.” Students may earn two Units of Study toward their degree at the GTF by completing the 2014 Oxford Theology Summer School. The application deadline is March 1 with subsequent deadlines of April 15 and June 1.
