Foundation Footnotes: Ph.D. Alumni Employment Survey Released

Survey-graphIn December of 2013, the GTF conducted a survey of all our Ph.D. graduates to determine the professional fields in which they work.  As part of our ongoing effort to be transparent with regards to employment statistics of our graduates, we already provide employment statistics for all Graduate Theological Foundation Alumni.  The addition of this new survey specifically of Ph.D. graduates makes our alumni employment statistics complete.  In brief, we found that 35% of Ph.D. graduates are employed in a faith community working as a priest, pastor, etc.; 32% are employed in the field of education with the vast majority being at the college/university level; 17% work in counseling or chaplaincy; and over 7% work in the field of administration.

See a detailed graph of the results and find complete details on this survey by reading a recent blog article, “Where Do Our Ph.D. Graduates Work? A New GTF Survey,” and learn of the rationale behind our conducting such a survey by reading “Transparency and Statistics: Employment Rates of Graduating Students
