One Response to Graduate Theological Foundation Deadline for Academic Work

  • Kyna says:

Thanks for your question, Mr. Njoku. We have a variety of Ph.D. programs, including the ABD “All But Dissertation” Degree-Completion Program, the course-based Ph.D., the research Ph.D. which requires coursework in Oxford at the Oxford Theology Summer School (University of Oxford), and the Foundation House Ph.D. which requires coursework in Oxford at the summer school as well as tutorials on-site in Oxford.

The course-based Ph.D. would allow you to complete all of your required coursework through the GTF via these study options, through other approved venues, or by transfer credit; this is the only one of our Ph.D. programs that does not require on-site coursework at the GTF. (Our ABD by definition does not require coursework, just a doctoral thesis.)

All of our Ph.D.’s (including the course-based Ph.D.) require an on-site oral defense in front of Graduate Theological Foundation faculty. These defenses take place four times a year in Indiana or can also be scheduled to take place at the University of Oxford in front of GTF faculty. Please peruse our doctoral programs page for complete information, or contact us through our website if you have questions.
