We are happy to announce that a Faculty Research Publications Grant has been awarded to Dr. Ekman P. C. Tam for his contribution of a chapter to the anthology, The Use of Self in Psychotherapy (Third Edition), published by Routledge. Trained in psychology and counseling and author of several works in the field of psychotherapy, his chapter in the book is titled, “An Eastern Perspective on the Use of Self,” which touches on issues of the interconnected self, the embodied self, attentive breathing, the impermanent self, and therapy as a spiritual path. Dr. Tam will be in attendance at the 2014 GTF graduation where he will be awarded an honorary doctorate and inducted as a GTF Fellow in recognition of his important work in the field of psychotherapy and spirituality education.
