A Message from the President

GTF President, Dr. Kendra E. Clayton

“Year In Review”

I’d like to extend best wishes to all of you, GTF faculty, students, alumni and friends, as we find ourselves approaching the end of yet another year. As I hope it has been for all of you, 2014 has been a year of continued growth and development for the Graduate Theological Foundation. We have created new academic offerings while continuing to improve upon our already existing programs, established new institutional affiliations while strengthening our longstanding affiliations and we have accepted many new students while having graduated almost 100 students in May of this year.

In 2014 we have hosted multiple GTF Institutes at our administrative offices in Indiana, while also offering the first ever GTF Residential Institute at Oxford. In 2015 we plan to expand our GTF Institute offerings to include an even broader range of options for students wishing to do a week of residential coursework with GTF faculty. The GTF institutional affiliations with the Oxford University Department for Continuing Education and the Centro Pro Unione in Rome remain strong, and we continue to work closely with our extensive number of PRIME (Partnering Resources in Ministry Education) affiliates. The faculty of the GTF continue to create new and innovative courses in response to the needs of our students.   Currently, GTF faculty offer over 250 E-Tutorial courses that cover a broad range of ministry-related topics.

One of the most exciting events of 2014 was the accreditation of our Graduate Center for Pastoral Logotherapy (GCPL) by the International Association of Logotherapy and Existential Analysis of the Viktor Frankl Institute in Vienna, Austria.  Founded in 2012, the GCPL is directed by Dr. Ann V. Graber, Professor of Pastoral Logotherapy at the GTF and a recognized authority on Viktor Frankl’s logotherapy.   All of these developments: GTF Institutes, institutional affiliations, GCPL accreditation, etc., serve to further the mission of the Graduate Theological Foundation, which is to provide the highest quality, individualized, affordable continuing education opportunities to ministry professionals.

As the current year draws to a close and we reflect upon the year that has passed, we at the GTF recognize the growth and development that we have experienced in 2014 and look ahead with optimism to the new year, with the belief that we will continue to fulfill our mission to serve those in ministry professions, who, through their ministry, make such a vital difference in the world in which we live. Thank you for being a part of our community!
