Disaster and Trauma InstituteThose interested in studying how to interact with and care for survivors of disaster and community trauma as well as the work of first responders may still register for the upcoming July 20-24 GTF Institute, “Disaster and Community Trauma: The Emotional and Psychological Needs of Survivors and First Responders.”

The new extended registration deadline is July 1.

This Institute is relevant to professionals working as clergy, chaplains, and mental health counselors who have contact with survivors and first responders. Within a nurturing yet academically rigorous week-long Institute, students may feel comfortable sharing experiences and empowered to further develop their academic skills. The Institute moderator will be Dr. Ann-Marie Neale, Karen Horney Professor of Psychology and Counseling at the GTF and former Mental Health Specialist with the American Red Cross.
