Students in the December 2014 Institute on “Meaning, Personhood, and Relationships”

The registration deadline for the March 2015 Institute, “The Classical Schools of Counseling and Their Relevance to Pastoral Issues,” is February 23. Space is limited! Dr. John H. Morgan, Karl Mannheim Professor of the History and Philosophy of the Social Sciences, will moderate this residential Institute at the Graduate Theological Foundation from March 9-13. Ministry professionals, particularly chaplains, counselors, clergy and pastoral care professionals are encouraged to attend.

Students benefit from a rigorous and intensive week of academic work in a nurturing environment surrounded by their peers. Readings are required as well as daily oral presentations of papers written for the week.

Professional degree students may use the Institute as a Non-Project Option, and any student may earn two Units of Study toward their degree at the GTF.

In the mornings, the focus will be on “Clinical Psychotherapy in the Pastoral Setting,” while the focus in the afternoons will be on “The Nature of Ministry in Pastoral Care Professions.”
