Convocation and Graduation 2017

The annual GTF Convocation and Graduation will be held on May 4th and 5th, 2017.  Students who anticipate graduating in May of 2017 should be aware of the February 1st deadline for all academic work, and March 1st  for financial obligations.
The graduation and convocation will begin with the Day of Convocation breakfast at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 4th.   The Lord Robert Runcie Convocation Lecture will be held Thursday evening at 7 p.m., May 4, 2017.  Following the lecture, there will be a social hour with refreshments for students, their families and friends. The graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, May 5th, will conclude before noon, and will be followed immediately by a graduation luncheon for all graduating students and their guests.

Oxford Theology Summer School 2017 – Registration is open!

Summary

A residential summer school for members of the clergy, theologians and teachers of religious education.

  • Exploring the theme ‘Re-formation: Reform and Renewal in Christian Life and Experience’.
  • Offering one-week seminars taught by members of Oxford’s Theology Faculty, distinguished theologians and prominent church leaders.
  • Providing the opportunity to study, live and dine in Christ Church, one of the most beautiful colleges in Oxford.

The academic programme consists of

  • study in small interactive seminar groups with specialist tutors; and
  • a plenary keynote lecture per week given by a leading scholar in the field.

Foundation Theology 2017: Essays for Ministry Professionals

Faculty, alumni and graduate students of the Graduate Theological Foundation are invited to submit essays for possible inclusion in the 2017 edition of our ministry professionals monograph.  For over three decades, the GTF has published this distinguished collection of essays as indicative of our commitment to scholarship and the practice of ministry.  Read more about submitting an essay for consideration in the 2017 Foundation Theology monograph.

Transformational Leadership Institute, 2017

This upcoming Residential Institute, led by Rev. Dr. Susan Fowler, is being offered June 4th through the 9th in Madison, Connecticut.  This is a unique opportunity for GTF students to earn two Units of Study or to complete the Non-Project Option while working with a GTF faculty member and other GTF students in the beautiful Mercy By The Sea Retreat Center.  This will be the third summer this very popular Institute has been offered.  Learn more about this Residential Institute.

Practicum in Pastoral Logotherapy

This Practicum is open to students enrolled in any of the Graduate Center for Pastoral Logotherapy degree programs, and to students enrolled in the GTF’s Doctor of Psychology and Doctor of Philosophy in Pastoral Psychology degree programs.
