Dr. James Keating, GTF alumnus, Ed.D. (2004), has been elected Chair of the Board of Governors of the Children’s Dyslexia Centers of Indiana. This is a three-year appointment that involves directing the work of the Board of Governors in helping provide no-cost tutoring to children with dyslexia and other reading problems. The group also provides no-cost graduate level study for teachers who work in any schools (public or private, at any grade level). Students are accepted into the program without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, or school system. Naturally, a big part of the work is fund-raising, but also includes recruiting teachers, administering course credits, and working with other board chairs in the national organization.
