21st World Congress of Viktor Frankl’s Logotherapy

Viktor Frankl Institute
June 14 through 18, in Dallas, Texas, the Viktor Frankl Institute hosted the 21st World Congress of Viktor Frankl’s Logotherapy.  The quite timely theme of the Congress was, The Power of Purpose:  Finding Meaning in the Midst of Terrorism and Turmoil.  Following is a brief statement from the Viktor Frankl Institute describing the focus of the 21st World Congress.
“More than any other prominent theory of psychotherapy, Frankl’s Logotherapy utilizes the dimension of the human spirit in the healing process. This year’s Congress Theme involving Meaning in the Midst of Terrorism and Turmoil challenges us to experience the Power of Purpose in overcoming adversity in a global concept of humanity.”

Following are the names of GTF students/alumni who were awarded credentials during the 21st World Congress.

God bless you! I have authored an academic book viewing the philosophy of the Holy Bible and the contemporary world through the optic of Victor Frank’s will to meaning. Please let me know if you are interested in receiving more information. Thank you!

  • Robert Frantz says:

Hello, I am also a D.Med. student, and I am also using Frankl’s methods in my work. I was not able to make the Dallas congress, but I was able to attend the Frankl Congress in Vienna last fall. I noticed from this article that John Turner received his Academic Associate credential, and that he is also a D.Med. student.

Could you please put me in touch with Mr. Turner? I would love to compare how we are using Franklian techniques in our practices, and to swap tips and ideas. Please feel free to share contact information with him, including my phone…

    • GTF says:

Student Services will send you Mr. Turner’s contact information shortly, and yours will forwarded to him. Many thanks for reaching out!

  • This is absolutely awesome! I am very interested in Logotherapy and mindfulness as a means of offsetting compassion fatigue and a positive influence in workplace productivity. As a new, GTF ABD student, this helps direct my steps.

    Thanks!!

    • GTF says:

We do not have access to the lectures, but will forward your request to the Viktor Frankl Institute in the hope that they will be able to assist you.

      • GTF says:

Some of these Congress presentations will eventually be published in the International Forum of Logotherapy, a biannual publication of the VFIL, which goes to all dues paying members of the Institute. We would suggest you reach out directly to the Viktor Frankl Institute in order to inquire about the availability of these lectures.

    Dear Dr Anthony Vento,

I am a student of GTF studying Philosophy in Theological Studies. I believe that your work on viewing the philosophy of the Holy Bible and the contemporary world through the optic of Victor Frank’s will to meaning will be of some benefit to me. Is it possible to share some information with regard to your work with me?

I look forward to hearing from you. God bless your efforts.
